This study will evaluate Parenting 101 with Isang, a weekly evidence-based radio programme that provides practical, culturally relevant parenting support to families across southern Nigeria. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study will combine listener surveys, focus group discussions and stakeholder interviews to assess reach, participation, and changes in parenting attitudes and behaviours. The project contributes to broader efforts to identify scalable, accessible models of playful parenting support, particularly in low-resource settings. It will also build partnerships with broadcasters, NGOs, and policymakers to inform future scale-up of radio-based parenting interventions. This study is led by Dr Isang Awah and is funded by Oxford University’s John Fell Fund.
