PLH Scale-Up of Parenting Evaluation Research (SUPER) Updates

A unique study examining the scale-up of parenting programmes across multiple contexts. It will allow testing of whether families with key vulnerabilities (such as being affected by HIV/AIDS, poverty, or political violence) benefit more, less or differently to other families. It also provides the opportunity to examine issues related to programme implementation and scale-up, such as barriers/facilitators of attendance and quality of delivery, and how they might differ across contexts.

The SUPER study is in its final round of data collection. This includes both quantitative and qualitative data collection, four case study countries; 1) Botswana, 2) Democratic Republic of Congo, 3) South Africa, and 4) Zimbabwe. All quantitative data has been collected and analysed for the aforementioned countries, while the qualitative data collection and analysis are ongoing for two for the four case study countries with finalisation by March 2023.

The team also presented at a Positive Parenting Round Table in Zimbabwe on 20 January 2023. Read the full story here.
