Jeremiah Ayock Ishaya is a PhD candidate at Quantum Leap Africa and Stellenbosch University, specializing in developing machine learning models for responsive caregiving. He holds an MPhil in Scientific Computing and Industrial Modeling from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and an MSc in Mathematical Sciences with a focus on Big Data Analytics from the African Institute for Mathematical Science. With extensive experience in academia and industry, Jeremiah has served as a Data Engineer/Data Scientist Consultant at Fjorge Digital and a Lecturer at Academic City University College, where he teaches machine learning, AI, and data science courses. His research includes an improved skin lesion classification model using contrastive self-supervised learning and nutrient prediction models in agriculture. He has received numerous scholarships and awards, including the KEEP Scholarship and the DATAHACK4FI Innovation Award. Jeremiah’s technical expertise spans Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Hadoop, contributing to his impactful work in data science and machine learning.
