Francisco Calderon is the Data Manager for the GPI, based at the University of Oxford. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas and a MSc. in Psychological Research with the University of Edinburgh.
His past experience includes working on violence prevention projects in El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, and work with Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas in collaboration with USAID and John Jay College of Criminal Justice which looked to further strengthen the country’s Criminal Justice System. He has worked with the IOM in partnership with think tanks and town halls in El Salvador to better reintegrate returned migrants to the regions they lived in, and as a lecturer for Violence Prevention at the Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas.
His research focuses on violence prevention and improving mental health in young people with collaborations in research projects involving organizations such as World Vision, UNFPA, Tilburg University, The University of Edinburgh and the Spotlight Initiative.
