Partners working to expand Parenting for Lifelong Health (PLH) programmes in Thailand gathered in Bangkok on 17 December 2025 for the 4th Project Steering Committee Meeting on Scaling Up Parenting for Lifelong Health in Thailand. The meeting brought together representatives from government, academia, civil society, and international organisations to review progress and discuss the next phase of scaling evidence-based parenting support.
Hosted by the Peace Culture Foundation (PCF), the meeting highlighted achievements from the project’s implementation phase (2022–2025), including the adaptation and delivery of PLH programmes, capacity building for facilitators and trainers, and the establishment of the Thai Positive Parenting Community of Practice. Participants also discussed new research findings on programme effectiveness, cost-benefit analyses, and social return on investment.
Evidence presented during the meeting reinforced the strong case for investing in parenting programmes. Analyses show that the PLH programmes can generate significant social value through improved parenting practices and child wellbeing.
Looking ahead, partners discussed priorities for the next phase of work, including establishing a PLH Centre of Excellence in Thailand and expanding digital and hybrid programmes to reach more families. Strengthening partnerships with government agencies and continuing advocacy for national parenting support strategies were also highlighted as key steps toward sustainable scale-up.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment among partners to continue strengthening parenting support systems in Thailand and ensuring that more families can benefit from evidence-based programmes that promote positive parenting and prevent violence against children.
