Earlier this month, government leaders, researchers, media professionals, child protection experts, academics, civil society organisations, and community stakeholders gathered in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, for the “From the Airwaves to Stronger Families” dissemination workshop.

The event explored how evidence, partnerships, and media can strengthen families and improve child wellbeing, while identifying practical strategies to expand access to parenting support across the state.

GPI’s Head of Advocacy, Isang Awah, highlighted the importance of making evidence-based parenting support accessible through trusted platforms such as radio, so more families can benefit from practical, effective parenting guidance.
