At the 30th annual seminar of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) in September 2025, Dr. Godfrey Siu delivered a powerful message on the urgent need to redefine fatherhood.
Dr. Siu highlighted that fatherhood involvement remains in crisis in Uganda and across the globe, marked by absent fathers, domestic violence, and men grappling with depression, substance abuse, and fractured identities. He emphasised that these challenges are not just individual struggles but symptoms of a wider crisis facing families and communities today.
Dr. Siu shared a vision of hope, a reimagined fatherhood rooted not in dominance or power, but in responsibility, compassion, and nurturing.
His call resonates deeply with the GPI’s mission to strengthen families and promote positive parenting practices worldwide.
