GPI highlights parenting support at prestigious Chinese symposium

In December last year, Professor Jamie Lachman and Dr. Han Qing represented the Global Parenting Initiative (GPI) at the 17th Chinese Physiological Psychology Academic Symposium in Jiujiang. Their participation showcased GPI’s groundbreaking work in parenting support interventions, leaving a significant mark on the academic landscape in China.

Professor Lachman delivered a keynote presentation titled “Developing, Testing, and Scaling Parenting Support Interventions to Improve Child Wellbeing and Reduce Family Violence in the Global South.” His session captivated an audience of over 200 professionals, sparking a dynamic and interactive Q&A session.

The following day, Dr. Han Qing took the stage to present a detailed exploration of GPI’s efforts and achievements. Her presentation further amplified GPI’s visibility, cementing its reputation as a leader in parenting support and family strengthening programs.

This platform has significantly bolstered GPI’s academic influence in China, paving the way for future collaborations with researchers and institutions dedicated to improving child wellbeing and reducing family violence.
