Professor Sarah Skeen is a Co-Principal Investiagtor on the ParentApp for the Early Years Study in Tanzania. She is Associate Professor of Global Health and Co-Director of the Institute for Life Course Health Research at Stellenbosch University. Sarah's work focuses on developing, implementing and/or evaluating programmes to improve child, adolescent and parental mental health and well-being in low resource settings.
She has done extensive work on parenting support interventions, including in-person and digitally delivered programmes. She has a growing portfolio of work in gender responsive and transformative interventions. She consults to WHO and UNICEF on work relating to child and adolescent mental health, adolescent pregnancy, and parenting of adolescents.
