Onesmus Kamacooko is a researcher with Parenting for Respectability (PfR)-Digital in Uganda. He is a PhD student at CHDC Makerere University under the GPI project since March 2023. Onesmus is a statistician/Researcher with over 5 years’ research experience. During this time, Onesmus has developed research leadership and management skills while working on previous studies in various capacities such as a co-investigator (EDCTP award TMACDF2016-1574), lead statistician (EDCTP and IAVI Funded studies) and DSMB board member. He has experience in protocol development, questionnaire development, data visualization, data cleaning, teaching (research methodologies and statistics), and statistical analysis of cross-sectional and longitudinal datasets by drawing meaningful insights from the data. Onesmus has worked on epidemiological studies and oral PrEP implementation studies among young mothers where he interfaced with experiences of young women including high incidence of pregnancy, intimate partner violence, excessive alcohol use which all affect parenting among these populations. During this time, over twenty (20) articles have been published in scientific journals as a lead author,co-author where he has been a lead statistician.
