Dr Ohad Green, PhD, MSW, is a Digital Systems Fellow with the GPI. He is a Social Worker and a Post-Doctoral Research Officer in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the University of Oxford. His research areas are in the intersection of well-being, migration, and online interventions. His primary focus is in families of temporary migrants - asylum seekers, refugees and migrant workers- whom he previously worked with at the “MESILA” aid organization.
In 2017, after winning the Haruv post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Oxford, Ohad joined the Young Carers research group led by Professor Lucie Cluver, and helped the team with different projects aimed at preventing violence against children. In 2018, he moved to the United States (University of South Florida) to develop the CARE2 program - an online behavioural intervention which aims to reduce the sense of burden, depression and suicidal thoughts of care providers – mostly recent immigrants.
In 2019 he returned to the Department of Social Policy and Intervention and rejoined Prof. Cluver, and led the development of ParentApp for Teens – a self-led online version of the in-person PLH parenting program. He is currently leading the development of the PLH Implementers' App. The PLH Implementers' App aims to support any implementer of the PLH programmes, with components related to training, delivery, monitoring and QA. The App will also provide insight on how to ensure integration of parenting programmes within systems of parenting support.
