Nan Mwe Nohn is a Master’s student at the School of Public Policy, Chiang Mai University, currently engaged in a collaborative study on 'Strategic planning for the sustainable and scalable integration of PLH in policy and service delivery in Thailand.' Before pursuing her MA, she served as the Political Empowerment Program Coordinator at the Women’s League of Burma for five years. Nan's joint research project with Maaike Matelski, titled "Grassroots Roles and Leadership Aspirations: The Experiences of Young Ethnic Women in Myanmar Civil Society Organizations," is slated for publication by the Center for Burma Studies at Northern Illinois University in 2022. With over three years of prior service in community-based organisations in Chiang Mai, focusing on human rights, child rights, and women's rights, Nan brings a wealth of experience to the dynamic intersection of policy, leadership, and social empowerment.
