Phatiswa Somdaka was born and bred in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Her highest qualification is an honours degree in corporate communications obtained at the prestigious Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (currently known as Nelson Mandela University).
Phatiswa has communications experience in both the public and private sectors. Her background experience includes media relations, stakeholder engagement, public relations, and internal and external communications. Phatiswa is passionate about human rights, environmental activism, and equality.
