Imperial College London researchers and the Moderna Charitable Foundation will be using GPI’s Parenting in Crisis resources to enhance the support provided to children who have lost caregivers, ensuring their well-being both now and in the future.
The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the urgent need for more effective assistance for the 10.6 million children who experienced caregiver loss.
To address this, the researchers are offering and evaluating a six-session parenting support programme for surviving caregivers. This initiative originates from the Parenting in Crisis resources, initially developed to bolster the resilience of parents and caregivers facing crises during the pandemic.
