Global Parenting Initiative Open Webinars: Exploring Research, Innovation and Impact in Parenting

The Global Parenting Initiative is thrilled to announce the launch of the Global Parenting Initiative Open Webinars! Following on the success of our first open webinar “Parenting for Respectability Uganda: Lessons in Violence Prevention from a Home-grown Parenting Programme”, we will be hosting a new webinar series. The series will explore a wide range of topics related to our work, including research, innovation, scale-up, advocacy and implementation in the areas of parenting and prevention of violence against children.

The webinars will take place every two months, and offer a platform for both seasoned professionals and emerging voices to share their expertise in their respective fields. Each webinar will also allow time for a Q&A session in which participants can ask questions about the topic.

We will be kicking off the series on 10 May 2023 with a webinar where we will hear from the team behind the recently released WHO parenting guidelines which provide recommendations for essential components on effective parenting interventions aimed at preventing child maltreatment.
