Prof. Francesca Little is the Statistical Consultant at the GPI. She is a professor in the Department of Statistical Sciences at University of Cape Town, specializing in biostatistics. Her research activities originate from her collaboration with the Health Sciences, predominantly in the areas of infectious diseases, leading to an interest in statistical methodological topics that include models for the analysis of longitudinal data and multivariate analysis. Her main contribution to these research collaborations is the use of state of the art statistical modelling to enhance the quality of the research so as to make a difference to the quality of life of vulnerable populations in Southern Africa.
