Global Parenting Initiative and Parenting for Lifelong Health (PLH) are adapting a suite of evidence-based, openly accessible parenting programmes for digital delivery.

While PLH was initially designed to aid families in the Global South, it has been adapted and extended to address crises and disasters worldwide. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, COVID-19 Playful Parenting resources were developed and translated into over 100 languages, benefiting more than 210 million families worldwide.

With more than one billion children internationally at risk of abuse, GPI and PLH seek to provide playful parenting resources to “every parent, everywhere”. In addition to delivery through in-person facilitation, tip sheets and online resources have been created and new digital delivery methods are being developed and could be introduced as early as the end of 2024.

Developed and rigorously tested through collaboration involving the World Health Organization, Stellenbosch University, University of Cape Town in South Africa, University of Oxford, University of Bangor, and UNICEF, PLH-digital programmes provide essential support.
