Since 2011, the Parenting for Lifelong Health initiative (PLH) has developed and rigorously tested parenting programmes aimed at supporting family relationships, providing alternatives to violence, and helping to protect children inside and outside the home. The programmes have been tested across 29 countries, producing 10 robust reviews and training 3000 local trainers and facilitators. Results showed sustained positive outcomes across variables, including in positive parenting, reduced abusive parenting and child behaviour.
