GPI lead Professor Cathy Ward has been named End Violence Against Children's latest End Violence Champion. The recognition acknowledges Prof Ward's contribution to creating Parenting for Lifelong Health, a suite of affordable parenting programmes aimed to prevent violence against children in low- and middle-income countries. A recent study found that this suite of programmes have averted 81,000 cases of child abuse.
